Ornaments don’t have to be traditional either; make ornaments out of things you find around the house. The possibilities are endless! If you want something more traditional, then take a look at these five simple steps:

1) Take a piece of paper and draw out what you want your ornament to look like on it. 2) Cut out the design 3) Wrap yarn around the cutout shape 4) Tie a knot in one end so that it becomes an open loop 5) Fill the loop with glue or hot glue and tie off into a knot 6) Let stand until firm enough to hang

How to make a Stocking Filler

This Christmas craft is a fun way for your nannusays to create a stocking filler. These ornaments are perfect for hanging on your tree and can be made over the course of a few days.

  • 1 ornament-sized cardboard toilet paper roll
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
  • Paintbrush
  • Paint
  • Gold foil (optional)
  • Black marker (optional)

Step one: Cut the toilet paper roll in half lengthwise. Then cut each side into an oval shape. This should leave you with 4 pieces of the toilet paper roll. These pieces should be about 3 inches wide and 2 inches high.

Step two: Glue these pieces together so that they form one long tube. You will want to make sure that the glue is dry before moving on to the next step so it won’t smudge your paint job.

Step three: Paint your tube black and let it dry completely. This will help prevent the paint from smudging when you add detail later on in this project.    Step four: Take a gold foil sheet and attach it to the top of your ornament by folding it back and forth along one line until it adheres
